Mayday! — Hippo Drop

Mayday! — Hippo Drop

Daniel the Pig is up on top of a cruising airliner when angry hippos start falling out of the sky — each one smashing a big hole clean through the plane and tumbling on through into the clouds. The hull is solid to start; the hippos make the holes. Watch for the shadow, dodge the drop, and don't fall through — it's a long way down. Then brace for the big one.

Tip: a growing shadow on the hull warns you where a hippo is about to land — step out of the column. Every hippo punches a permanent hole, and a hole means a fall to your doom. Grab bread 🍞, avocado 🥑 and nuts 🥜 for score, and use the raised hull panels as high routes.

Mayday! — Hippo Drop is Daniel the Pig's seventh level, and his most disastrous flight yet. High above the clouds, out on top of an ordinary airliner, the sky turns into a falling-hippo obstacle course: one by one, enormous angry hippopotamuses plummet down, crash straight through the fuselage, punch a big ragged hole in the hull and keep on falling into the open air below. The plane begins completely solid — but every hippo leaves a hole behind, so the aircraft you're running along slowly comes apart under your trotters, and one missed step drops Daniel clean off the plane.

There's no fighting back here — it's pure nerve and footwork. A shadow blooms on the hull a moment before each hippo lands, so watch your feet, break out of the column, and leap between the raised panels to stay off the holes. Grab bread, avocado and nuts for score as you sprint the length of the plane. And at the very end, when you think you've made it, one truly colossal hippo drops in, breaks the whole aeroplane apart in a shower of burning wreckage, and takes Daniel down with it — the only way this flight was ever going to end.
