Runaway Train — Badgers & Blades
Daniel the Pig is on the roof of a runaway train tearing through the mountains. Leap the gaps between the cars, stomp the knife-wielding badgers, and grab slugs and teeth. Near the end, drop through the trapdoor to fight on inside the train — and face the rabid opossum. Hurl the electric sticks to bring it down.
Tip: stomp badgers from above, or just dodge their blades — and mind the gaps between the cars. In the opossum's carriage, electric sticks appear every few seconds: grab one and press X to throw (a ~3-second reload between throws). Sixteen hits drops the opossum.
Runaway Train — Badgers & Blades is Daniel the Pig's fifth level, and his first two-part stage. It opens on the roof of a steam train hammering through a mountain range: Daniel sprints car to car, leaping the gaps over the couplings, stomping badgers that stand upright in little leather jackets with knives in their paws, and scooping up slugs and teeth for score. The badgers actually walk, one foot in front of the other — no sliding.
Near the end of the roof, a trapdoor drops Daniel down inside the train, and the level keeps going through the carriages until the very last car — where a rabid opossum is waiting. It has big ears, glowing red eyes and a long bald rat tail, and it fights dirty: it lunges to bite, and now and then rears back and swings that tail in one big sweep. There's no stomping this one. Every few seconds an electric stick appears on the floor — grab it and throw it (X), with a short reload between throws, and land sixteen hits. When the opossum finally drops, it hits the train floor, gets electrocuted, and blows away as dust — and the whole runaway train goes up, taking Daniel with it.
